Usually, what would happen with me if I was watching something objectively horrifying or tragic as a kid was that I would either think nothing of it at all, or I would just rationalize it in my head like "OK so we know this causes that, so it makes sense that this happened." And then inevitably, some 10 years later, I would end up looking back on the whole thing and thinking, "Hey, that was really fucked up actually." I've never been great with emotions, so I guess that was just the easiest way for me to handle it as a young child.

There was one film that traumatized me & it was known as "Spirited Away"... I won't tell you what exactly traumatized me unless you have seen the film or you just simply don't care about being spoiled. The film is about a girl named "Chihiro" who ends up arriving in a spirit realm (hence the name) & is stuck there until at the end of the film. The reason why she got stuck there was the same first scene that traumatized me, you know her parents also arrived in the realm but they weren't aware of it & they were also figuratively pigs as well, & when Chihiro went back to her parents when it was getting dark, it was revealed that her parents became the literal embodiment of what they were (which would sound familiar to your trauma from Willow). It would be later revealed that there was a witch who was built like a Funko pop which I forgot her name that has turned her parents into pigs. But later we would find out that there were scenes that were pretty... bloody which would've also scared me a bit. But these two scenes scared me so hard that it made me loose my will to continue watching it & also made think that it should've been rated PG-13 or R. You see Chihiro which I think her named was temporarily changed to "Sen" let in someone in the bathhouse which was one of the biggest mistakes they ever made. That someone was a black colored entity with a white mask with a mouth & had two purple triangles that was over & under each eye. They (since they're actually genderless) would later been known as "No-Face". You see, one night there was some random frog running across the room collecting golden pebbles (whichI guess was used for currency) & would've saw No-Face just standing in one of the empty bathtubs leading the frog closer to it with the gold which they are able to summon from their hands. But when the frog was close enough to No-Face, No-Face grabbed the frog & SWALLOWED HIM WHOLE!!! HOW WAS VORE ABLE TO GET ON A "CHILDREN'S" FILM?!! & that's pretty much the reason why I got traumatized by Spirited Away, I wasn't even able to finish it until a year later!!

"Bridge to Terabithia" and "My girl" are films that I absolutely love and curse at the same time. They have similar themes, and feel so damn real.

The Bridge to Terabithia is an absolut Masterpiece. The entire movie looks like innocent teenager make believe fun and than the last 10 Minutes hit u with a suckerpunch that u will never forget. I thought i would get some Narnia here, but i got a lifelesson instead.

For me it was tomb of the fireflies, I was not expecting the movie to finish off the siblings.

Devil May Cry 2 is Very Good!!!!!!! Its Nothing Compared to Best Game Ever Devil May Cry 3 but Dmc 2 its pretty good in its own style, that's why the director is the same Hideaki Itsuno.

I’m sorry for putting another story bro ;-; I was a traumatized fellow 😔🛐 my Mexican grandma would look after us sometimes (none of us spoke Spanish-) and she would watch some tv sometimes while we Sometimes watched it to. But that day some movie came on about witches. Of course, I don’t remember what it was called. But at some point in the movie the witches were stuffing some leaves and sometimes poison into little kids mouths. With all the kids going missing some man went searching for them, he was only able to save THAT ONE kid that hadn’t been stuffed yet 😭😭 that traumatized me because like- are you telling me the other kids are actually DEAD??

There was this one movie my grandma put on for us all one time when I was about 7, I think it was called “my girl”? But it was this story of these two kids, a boy and a girl. The boy was allergic to basically everything in a deadly way which was giving a challenge to his teacher because she kept offering did some chocolate 💀💀 the girl was the one to always jokse him every time he came close to something he was allergic to. One day when she sees her parents sitting at the living room her dad says “(I forgot his name) got stung by bees today” and she seemed fine at first, she was just like “oh (his name lol), I’ll go tell him something” but then it turns out he DIED from the bee stings. So the next few minutes of the movie is his funeral 😭😭💀

The most horrific movies to me (that weren't already mentioned here) were Watership Down (because of course it was) A Tale of Two Brothers (which scarred me emotionally) and Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban (which left me with a morbid fear - which eventually turned into fascination - of werewolves.)

More so, Gert Fröbe the actor who played the evil Baron of this made up land of Vulgaria. Is the same act who played Goldfinger in the James Bond movie ‘Goldfinger’. Furthermore, Desmond Llewellyn, the actor who played Q in the James Bond series is in this movie playing Coggins. Also, the film is produced by Albert R. Broccoli. Who also produced the James Bond movies. On top of all that, Anna Quayle, who plays the Baroness, was in the 1967 Casino Royale movie.

the movie The Mouse Detective was one of the most unintentionally scary movies I ever watched as a kid. I VIVIDLY remember (as though it happened to me) the scene at the beginning where the bat breaks into the dad’s house at night and like brutally attacks & drags him off while his child watches from inside a cupboard. everything about the bat was so dark and intimidating to me then, not to mention he had the deepest, most gravelly little voice-SO threatening, every time he spoke. then the main character meets him again later and he jumpscares the camera (with his terrifying toothy face all up in it) cause he’s hiding inside a baby carriage that they decide to look way too close into. I think a part of my soul died and it hasn’t returned since LOL. I never hear anybody talk about that movie anymore either but DAMN. that was bad. even writing & reliving this in my head gave me goosebumps.

To be honest many scenes of the never ending story made me feel uneasy and sad. The horse one is just sooo painful. For the little toaster I think the scene with the waterfall and the vacuum cleaner standing near the edge in complete silence was an impactful one for me. Also my mom bought me the dvd for Bridge to Terabithia, I watched it once and never put it on again. It broke me I couldn't stop crying. I'm honestly a BIG fan of Coraline as I grew up watching a lot of Tim Burtons and Henry Selick's movies. So I was 8 when I got to see it in theaters and LOVED it, as opposed to every other kids my age XD. Now here is one movie that had marked me and it is FernGully: The Last Rainforest. This movie is actually the same plot as Avatar but the bad guy is a physical manifestation of pollution. And it is nightmare fuel ! Even the "funny" song the bat sings about human experimentations on animals has a weird vibe to it (I guess that's the point) But like the villain is truly terrifying. I don't even recall it myself but my mom told me I drew red crosses on the wall just like the humans do before cutting a tree and the fresh paints looks like blood. So yep, fun movie hehe.

I've never seen "The Witches", but one question bugs me. How did Erica get new clothes over the decades in that painting? Is there a store or something, maybe there is a whole dimension with people and stories. Maybe it wasn't so bad afterall.

Bro the never-ending story gave me nightmares as s kid skd that horse scene traumatized me, anytime the never-ending story is mentioned my mom would poke in how i "hate" the movie and that gave me nightmares, well i mean ofc i WAS scared, i was 6, genius 🙄

It brings a smile to my face to hear someone so exuberantly enjoy DMC and sing its praises. I think it really has a spark to it that sets it apart from other games and keeps me, and many others, coming back year after year. Watching the DMC5 cutscenes is like coming back to an old friend. Ahh, I love this series. Also I really enjoyed your dubbing - your Dante and V voices are quite good!
